Welcome to CardJones.com. At CardJones.com we collect some information from our visitors. The following page will outline what we collect and how we use it. Our goal is to protect your privacy at CardJones.com.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
We need some personal information from site visitors in order for them to fully use CardJones.com's site features. All personal information is collected only via explicit entry by site visitors directly, and is entirely optional.
We collect:
- Email Address
You may browse our database and put cards in your shopping cart without ever supplying an email address. However, if you'd like to check out, sell cards, or save your account settings for later, we need your email address. CardJones.com will
never supply your email address to any party (apart from another CardJones user you have a transaction with) for any reason, short of a court order. CardJones.com itself will only send you important account-related emails, such as a password request, transaction receipts, and the like. CardJones.com
does reserve the right in the future to send new feature announcements, but you may opt-out of receiving those from the site. CardJones.com will only ever sent plain-text formatted email.
- Name and Mailing Address
If you buy cards and would like them sent to you, CardJones.com needs your name and mailing address. CardJones.com will never supply your name or mailing address to any party (apart from a seller you have bought cards from) for any reason, short of a court order. CardJones.com will never mail you any items. You may delete your name and mailing address out of our system at any time through the web site and it will permanently erase all record of it.
- Your Card Collection
If you enter cards into the CardJones.com system to sell, we will keep an electronic record of it. This is necessary to provide the services being offered. CardJones.com will not make your collection or its value (apart from information easily gleaned from the website itself),
or your transaction history available to any party, short of a court order. CardJones.com does reserve the right to analyze this data for internal research and developmental purposes. If you remove a card you had for sale, all record of
it is be permanently removed from our system. All transactions made through CardJones.com, payments received or withdrawn, shipment records and seller ratings will be stored permanently to ensure the proper operation of the CardJones.com web site.
BROWSING INFORMATION
When visiting the CardJones.com web site, standard "browser environment variables" and page views are logged. The browser environment variables include browser software, operating system, ip address and referring link. CardJones.com reserves the right to
analyze these logs for research and development purposes. However, CardJones.com will not make any attempt to tie specific browsing information to specific personal information.
COOKIES
The CardJones.com web site uses a "browser cookie" to maintain a record of what account your browser has access to. The cookie does nothing else and provides no tracking information of any kind to CardJones.com. You may disable cookies in most browsers.
However, doing so will disable your ability to log in to an account at CardJones.com. You may of course still browse the non-account-related features of the site without cookies turned on.
